The (6) one-hour sessions include (Note: this particular class will meet every OTHER week stretching it over 12 weeks)

  • 15 minutes of group play
  • 30 minutes of instruction
  • 15 minutes of group play

Group play time is closely monitored to improve their social skills.

The focus is on learning how to do the 5 Basic Commands (sit, stay, down, come and heel) using visual hand commands plus how to use a clicker and give treats (positive reinforcement). Distractions are added to test your dog’s ability to stay focused. Family members are encouraged to take turns participating so everyone learns together.

Owners are encouraged to do daily homework (5-10 min.) to achieve long term results. Participants gain confidence, knowledge, and a new sense of pride in dog ownership. Dogs learn skills that enable them to be a well-mannered family member.

Prerequisite: No previous training needed, current vaccinations and the dog needs to be at least 16 weeks old.

At this time there are no small group classes.
