How big of a concern is flea and tick prevention?

I get asked so often about the importance of flea and tick prevention that I have to share a few thoughts with you.  So many pet owners think you only need to treat your pet during the summer months.  That is not true.  It’s actually a year round prevention process.  If your pet is outside they are being exposed to these pests and need your help to stay healthy.  Please take a few minutes now to watch this excellent video I found on Indian Prairie Animal Hospital’s website about making smart choices for prevention.

Notice that the word starts with ‘pre’, that means beforehand, before it’s too late.  Help your pet stay healthy so you can enjoy each other’s company for years to come.
